Visa guidance

Japan is a premium travel destination for tourism, culture, business visits, and family travel. Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders generally need a visa before travel. From 3 November 2024, the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh announced that Japan visa application facilitation is entrusted to VFS Global, and ordinary applicants should follow VFS instructions for submission.

  • Passport (valid for minimum of 6 months) – all
  • 2 photographs (color, white background, mat print)
  • NID/Birth certificate (Applicant - Translated in English & Notary)
  • Any utility bill copy for present or residence address (e.g., electricity, gas, water, internet, or telephone bill)
  • Marriage certificate & Nikah Nama (Translated in English & Notary - if applicable)
  • Bank statement & bank solvency certificate of Sponsor
  • Student ID card
  • TIN Certificate
